Medical School Crash Course
------------------------------------------------------------------------The Crash Course is a one day event focused on your future in medicine bringing together medical school admissions representatives, physicians, MCAT instructors and current medical students who are focused on helping you maximize the success of your application.
The one day event includes talks from:
-Ms. Leslie Taylor: Admissions Officer for the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto
-Bob Ryan, Associate Dean of Enrolment Planning, will conduct an overview of SGU and the medical degree program.
-A special MCAT overview by The Princeton Review - including details on the MCAT, how it factors into your application and what you can do to reach your full potential when taking the test.
-A Panel of Physicians - they'll discuss what it means to be a doctor in today's society, contemporary issues that the profession currently faces and what personality types are well suited for a future in medicine.
-A Panel of Medical Students- these students were in your shoes only a few years ago, they can tell you what path they pursued to reach medical school (including tips and tricks they picked up along the way), what has been their experience as a medical student and how their education has differed from high school and undergraduate.
This event is offered to you FREE of charge! Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
All attendees will also receive lunch free of charge and students have the opportunity to win a FREE MCAT Preparation Class from the Princeton Review (Valued over $1900)!
The Medical School Crash Course is a one day event on Saturday May 8, 2010 at The University of Toronto- Sidney Smith Hall (100 St. George Street) in Room 2135 from 10:00am - 5:00 pm.
